Your Massage Therapist will send a text with an image of their route on Google Maps informing you when they are on the way to you. This is not the final representation of the travel charge. When your LMT arrives at your location, you will receive a second text stating they have arrived. The time difference between text 1 and text 2 is the final representation of the travel charge.

The industry standard for gratuity is 20% of the service rate before any deductions, discounts, or special price changes.

It is standard practice in this industry for a card to be held on file to book your appointment. Once your LMT has arrived at your location your card on file will be charged. If paying cash, the service rate plus the travel charge will be collected prior to setting up and performing the treatment. In the rare case of dissatisfaction or conflict, a refund will be issued immediately same day following the stipulations of the Satisfaction Guarantee above. Charging a card does inquire 3.5% interest. We accept only cash, Zelle, debit, and credit cards.

It is required that you have at a minimum of an 8'x5' space available for adequate room for your LMT to maneuver around the massage table. Nothing is required to be provided by the client. Your LMT will have everything necessary to perform their treatment.

Please feel comfortable asking about using any scents or oils you own to be used in session. Athlete or Knot does not include that amenity of offering essential oil add-ons. As long as your LMT does not have an allergic reaction or sensitivities, we can incorporate your oils.

For now, Athlete or Knot does not include any tools such as cupping, gua sha (scraping), percussion instruments, hot or cold stones, compression sleeves, or any other tools. We will not use any tools owned and provided by clients.

Any health conditions, injuries, or surgeries not provided by the client in the Client Intake Form is held secret from the Massage Therapist at the clients own risk. We clarify all health related questions and modify the treatment based off the information provided by the client. Situations where the client suffers from injury, pain, or discomfort due to lack of information is at the clients fault.

We are understanding that some people's homes don't have the space, the home is too loud, animals may be interfering, or it's just more peaceful to get out of the house for a bit. In these cases, we offer providing our massages and treatments in our studio in the Greater Heights just inside loop 610 North. Please connect with us for address. A $15 per hour charge is added to the final service charge. ($23 for 1.5 hours, $30 for 2 hours).

Please feel comfortable allowing us to record only certain aspects of the treatment, prioritizing client safety. In doing so, your treatment and your testimony may be what someone else needs to see and hear in order to discover they too can benefit from Athlete or Knot's specialized, innovated approach to pain relief and structural correction.

A confirmation will be sent out a week prior or same day of booking if within 7 days. Your appointment will need to be confirmed 72 hours prior to your appointment or your card on file will be charged at full price and your appointment will be removed from the schedule.

If you confirm your appointment, but still cancel within the 72 hours prior to your treatment, you will be charged 50% of the service rate.

If you confirm your appointment and proceed to "no call, no show" or "ghost" us and we are unable to reach you, you will be charged 100% of your service rate.

Only under extreme circumstances within 72 hours of your appointment may we waive any charges. You or your family getting sick or ill does not fall under extreme circumstances.

If there is a pattern of extreme circumstances or even proper cancellations that arise you will be asked to prepay as you schedule future treatments. We respect your time, we ask that you respect ours.

Your Massage Therapist lives in Houston. There will always be an announcement of when we will be back in San Antonio in order for clients to schedule while we're in town. As of now, we cannot offer Priority or Priority+ Clients in San Antonio, so everyone will be responsible for Travel Rates. The Travel Rate only includes time getting to San Antonio and time getting back home (3 hours each way).

San Antonio clients will be responsible for the service rate + $100 each household. So if I work on you and a friend at the same location, it will only be $100. If I work on 3 people at 1 location, it will still be $100 for the travel rate plus the 3 individual service prices.

More pressure does not necessarily mean more benefits. Do not believe that your Massage Therapist will need to hurt you in order for you to feel better. Greatest possible relief is attained by meeting your pain threshold, allowing you to breathe naturally without tensing up or fighting. You should have functional soreness following your treatment. Nothing unbearable or debilitating.
